alamo just before 5pm march to flag ceremony at Alamodome

The Finnish Tour guide said you must see the Alamo if you visit Texas. I agree with her 100 percent. You must take 10 minutes to sit down and see the on-site video , it clarified all who Davy Crockett, Santa Ana , and Sam Houston where. Why there is a sister city in Mexico for San Antonio, and several other very important facts about Texas, Mexico, and the United States. I really wanted to see the IMAX 3D version of the ALAMO which was less than one block away. Instead I accidentally purchased the ticket for the Eclipse IMAX movie wich was great also! IMAX was a facsinating experience. I had never been to a
IMAX before in my life. It was like looking at a 30 ft by 30 ft HD TV Screen similar to 3D. Before the Alamo on Friday I went to a 9 am AA meeting in the language of Finnish. I met many new Finnish AA friends there AKU Aarno, Esa V, Ahti, and many others . One stood out from the rest. I had never seen him before. I knew him from his voice, and his style of speaking. His name was Matti K. I had heard him on Finnish AA speaker CD's from the Vuoriryhma AA meeting in Helsinki Finland. Now I have permission to stay overnight at his home . Later I met his friend whom I also recognized from her voice, Ms Kasuko from Japan. We had a great time. I can't wait to go to the Vuoriryhma meeting in Finland with Matti , and Kazuko it will be so much fun. Then I will recognize the rest of the voices and be able to put faces to all the Finnish voices.
I met my friend Norman N3YKF Binghamton NY, and his New Wife Lizsth from Peru. We all had a great time, we all were lost in San Antonio for a moment, while we looked for the Guadalajara Grill. Liszth was our professional spanish translator , she helped us at the Traditional Mexican Restaurant. Norman showed us the weather balloon project that he and his student co-workers had launched. It was a very high tech , and very interesting ham radio project. We also stopped by the Sober city , and later the HAAM AA meeting room in the Marriott Riverwalk.
