Today is 12,000 days sober for me

When they say it's one day at a time, but they add up and today is 12,000 days for me. It's amazing how not drinking has changed my life. No I am not rich with cash or own land and holdings, and I don't have a mass group of people swarming around me like Michael Jackson did, in fact quite the opposite. I live quietly on modest money with my Wife and Son. The rich's I have are all internal. I have a clear conscience low stress, serenity and true happiness. I have the peace that passes all understanding. I have a faith that's grown into knowing. Feelings are healthy and normal, I don't live by feelings which is a way for some to con themselves into never thinking they are wrong, so how could a feeling be wrong? LOL Another thing I have is an ability to be honest where I was nothing but a lair and a cheat and be able to say what's on my mind, this is true freedom. I have God to thank, and to all of you who have been here and at my meetings as well as my sponsor who put up with me in the beginning. So ok, my 33 years is Sept 13th but I don't many who made it to 12,000 days one day at a time. I am on the road to happy destiny and I have some good company here with me.

I was doing the math in my head and I was like....WOW....then had to do it on paper to see if I was right! LOL

God has always been in my life but AA allowed me to let him give me back my life!
