men and woman in uniform- how to reach out to those alcoholics

ok i need the wise guys and girls to help me on this one . as public infospokesman for my district( and ex policeman from south africa ) i know there is a lot of woman and men in uniform that may have problems with alcohol. i want to write an nice invitation letter to the chiefs or commander in charge.and supply them with a bigbook to each police station and some questionaire flyers-approved litterature.Is there any sober-still active cops that can give me some advise how to reach out to the still sick and suffering. as a active cop i drank till i resigned .As of workstress etc. i know the pain as an ex cop i had to live with.please help or feel free to email me. i may have to start and have closed meetings with one or two other alkies at policestations because as of there position they do not feel comfortasble at meeting because of there status in the community

This has been difficult for me also...I work in the field and I just try to lead by example.. They all know that I dont drink and most know why..I been sober for over 14 years and obtained the job in sobriety...maybe leaving some brochures in the locker rooms.get with human resources to see what the best way to approach it is...unfortunately most dont get in the program until their department intervenes and makes them...tough job with lots of stress...
