Comment by Virgil on January 27, 2012 at 2:36am GRATITUDE, what a concept.
To be grateful we don't have to live in our addiction.
To even be alive today.
To have eternal life.
To have a relationship with God.
To be able to read the psalms, which for the most part are Gratitude lists.
Blessings in recovery.
Comment by Ralph H on December 4, 2011 at 10:40pm Every morning when I wake up I first thank God for being alive. Since I'm almost 78 years old I treasure every day I am being given. When I was younger I did not always appreciate just being alive but at my age, every day is a gift from a merciful God. I next ask God to keep me sober that day and ask God to let me be of service to others. Than, like so many others, I do the eleventh step and be about my business for the day.
Comment by THE ORIGINAL EARTHMOM on November 26, 2011 at 10:57am LOL...mine is a short list, but one that covers EVERYTHING (!), nonetheless.
I'm grateful for:
#1 - God, and my privileged, awesome relationship with Him
#2a - All the blessings God provides...the difficult-to-experience ones -- as well as the "fun" ones
#2b - His blessings via the wonderful people He has gifted me, to be my "journey companions"
Hugz & blessings to all! =]
