Comment by THE ORIGINAL EARTHMOM on February 6, 2012 at 7:22pm LOL...try a little patience??? When I'm in the mood to be "grousing" about something, I do NOT want to give it up til I'm ready to do so. =D
Sabbatical is a period of rest & refreshment, by modern orthodox definition. The only thing I'm trying to "rest" from is excessive web & pc use (emphasis on "TRYING"...I'm NOT succeeding very well). I actually intended it to be what I call a "working Sabbatical" (lol a contradiction in terms, I think...but it suits my purposes!).
The work is a focus on recovery efforts in non-physical-sobriety areas of my life, which desperately need it (as stated in the body of my blog...sorry for the redundancy). =P
So it's not a vacation, though I can understand why folks think it is. Probably a poor choice of terms, on my part. Nonetheless (to go a step further in gleeful absurdity) as a wordsmith, I like the actual sound of the word "Sabbatical", lol; it rolls so nicely off the tongue!
That's enuff drivel outta' me for the time being! =P

As for a Sabbath Rest(Sabatical), which one does your 's come under?
Oh, it doesn't mean the same thing, or does it?
May be it's just my poor spelling, I laughed about when you sent me how to spell disease instead of desease.
You can catch my spelling any time you wish,
as it does not offend me.
What does offend me are these sites that don't have spell-check.
Sometimes God puts us into a period of rest,
like when my computer was down for a few months.
Or when He answered my prayers to stop drinking.
He got me into jail.
Yep, I've got a God that loves me.
Have a Blessed vacation.
