- Hi Tracey,
Welcome. I'm glad you're here. For me, the answer to the questions your asking is in the rooms of AA and the Big Book. They say, "First things First." It starts with not drinking and going to meetings. I had to become desperate enough to be willing to do whatever it took, no matter how much I might not want to, no matter how many excuses I could find. There's one thing I know, if I can do it, you can do it. The people in AA told me to: "suit up and show up" and the miracle would happen as long as I didn't drink and kept going to meetings. They were right. Hang in there and keep asking for help. It takes courage to do that and you're doing it. Good for you.
