I am somewhat confused, as usual. But I thought the traditions, #'s7 through 11 indicate that AA survives through it's membership and word-of-mouth. Why, then, am I seeing some really nifty TV commercials for AA? I am still sober after many years, do not attend meetings, but acknowledge that AA was instrumental in my getting back on track.....it is a shame to see it go commercial. AA used to be useful...now it seems like Avon or Mary Kay.

- I have been hanging around aa groups for a while...initially starting maheny years ago in an awesome group called BBCHAT, then, when that went down, came to FIR.....
I worked for over 30 years and,, frankly, was a rather pathetic drunk and drug user.....but no more (stilll pathetic, but at least it's natural). I retired last fall, and it is a good gig.
- Music, Movies, T.V. and Hobbies:
- Music: good heavy metal
TV: British murder mysteries like"Poirot"
Movies:.....most Sci-Fi ....like the newest Star Trek, or, whatever
Hobbies....I am retired...I go to the gym...I dragon boat...I take care of my mother and my partner. I read a lot. Stamp collecting does not come into this equation.
