Don't know about perfect weather... the thunder storms from yesterday knocked out the power here for over 11 hours. But I do enjoy all of the four legged friends that visit weekly. (Elk, rabbit, deer, etc...) I live 8 miles out of Payson in the nati…

About Me:
2008 Honda VTX 1800cc

I have owned 11 bikes in my life and am addicted to them!
Don't need therapy lol when you ride a bike or even as pillion passenger, which I don't mind doing these days - don't have to have control all the time now hehe!
I am living on the capricorn coast, in qld, australia near the barrier reef & the islands off the coast in cooee bay, yeppoon. I share my life with my partner Tazz & our front yard is the beach so is beautiful.

Look on the right side of map up north for Rockhampton and I live 30 minutes east on the coast.
I have 1 cat "with attitude" who is 8 & we recently got a staffie dog from animal rescue who is approximately 3-4 years old.

My Mum and brothers and sisters and their families all live where i used to live on the sunshine coast which is 8 hours south of me & my son who is 36 & grandson who is 13 live in Brisbane which is 10 hours away. I miss them all as we are an extremely close family.
None of my family are alcoholics and I was brought up in a wonderful christian home with so much love.
I started drinking at about 16 and continued to do so for 27 years except for when i was pregnant and didnt drink much when my son was young. I was married and divorced 3 times before I got to AA.
I was a very sad, depressed drunk full of self pity and always was miserable, especially at the end of my drinking.

I rang my mum one night and asked her to commit me to the "nut" ward and she wouldnt and suggested talking to lifeline. I did and they referred me to AA and within 20 minutes, a lady was at my home talking to me. She took me to my first few meetings and everyone was wonderful. I related straight away and knew I was an alcoholic. I drank before, after and in between meetings for 7 weeks and then finally did what was suggested, and got a sponsor and went through the 12 steps. When we had finished, I had no desire to drink or drug again, and that was over 11 years ago.
I have done numerous service jobs in my AA group and district. One was office manager for the district which involved 14 groups and I did that for 18 months and I resigned recently as that was long enough.

I love my computer, bikes, my animals, crotchet, listening to music and spending time with my friends and at aa meetings.

Tazz & I on our 2nd anniversary of dating! 17th July, 2009

Thanks for your inspiration Glenda! I am not sure I have much eagerness, desire or flexibility. But I do have the openness to new ideas that gives me the willingness to pray for the willingness! I will keep coming back! I even have enough wind left in me to include a little prayer for your speedy recovery from the effects of chemo; God Bless!
