Favorite AA Quote or Slogan:
"It is a tremendous satisfaction to record that in the following years this changed. Alcoholics who still had their health, their families, their jobs, and even two cars in the garage, began to recognize their alcoholism. As this trend grew, they were joined by young people who were scarcely more than potential alcoholics. They were spared that last ten or fifteen years of literal hell the rest of us had gone through."

About Me:
I have been in the fellowship since August 2010, 3 weeks after my eighteenth birthday. It has taken me a while to be able to admit and truly accept complete powerlessness over alcohol.

Welcome, Mara!  Glad you are here.  I ready your "about me" and could totally relate!   It was hard for me to surrender to my personal need in AA too.  But the more I showed up, the more I saw my self in the others there/here.  they think like me, they respond to circumstances like me, they have stinkin thinkin like me - these are the people I'm most like.  I must be one of them too!  LOL!  They could read through my excuses, manipulations, and wall of anger - because they've all used the same ones - ha!

Glad you're on this journey with us!  We need each other!

One day ata time!
