what a great day. i had a wonderful day. i cant get over how much better my life is now that i am not drinking or getting high.

the other day a young a dear old friend of mine walked into the club looking torn and beaten from this disease. His 24 year old body looked several pounds lighter and his face was sunken, eyes hallow and skin had taken on a ashen tint. His knuckles shown new lettering tatooed above each one " Ride Free" certenally something he would regreat down the road. His eyes were red rimmed and tears brimmed as he gave us all hugs. the sun is just begining to hide away for the day here in cool Lakeside oregon and I am greatful to have another day sober and clean. my little birds are fed and happily chirping and i was able to take my dog to the vet today and get him his neded shots to be healthe. my kitty cat- she is outside resting in the sun knowing all she has to do is meow at the door and i will let her back in when she dose.
