Just like I thought...
I used to feel incomplete without alcohol. I couldn't go out to a party without drinking first so I felt better about drinking when I got there. Prayer
My days go so much better when I remember to pray in the morning. I desire long, peaceful periods of meditation to start the day. I also desire to get up and take off with all the stuff 'I' want to do. It's still a struggle to remember to let God take control of my daily life......I'm honestly in the dark as to what is going on anyway.Prayer, even a short acknowledgement, sets my day, my mind in a better direction. Happy New Year to all. I hope we all base our decisions on something we are told to put into practice in all our affairs.I spent the early morning hours of the Jan 1st working step 12. It wasn't out of love or desire. He just showed up drunk. I must tell you that he was annoying too. This particular guy has never put together any long term sobriety so I judged him and treated him differently than I would have a "first time newcomer". I did realize he 1) drunk 2) a sick person. Sober birthdays
I just celebrated my 46th birthday sober. It's not the first time I've been sober on my belly button b day, but this one was the most "sobering". I struggle with all the things I've lost over the years from drinking...specifically, the last 10 years and 5 relapses. I want it all back. I want my life back.
23 months 3 times ending in a 1-3 day binge and an arrest. Pathetic.

When we experience disturbance or pain,
we often are being shown places where we have closed ourselves off
through some form of denial or judgment.
The loving energy that is there for us as a blessing
is then closed off and restricted, so we may feel hurt or disturbance.
