Hey John,
I understood what you were talking about not feeling like you had friends. I understand it completely. The truth is that sometimes we don't. When we were drinking, we didn't feel the pain. Now that we've stopped it seems unbearable. There are times when everyone on this planet feels that way. It's a part of the real world that I can live without, but unfortunately it plagues me too. I also know of people who don't have any friends.

It's frustrating when you lift up the 300 pound phone and call and all these sweet people who put there name on the list don't pick up. It's not necessarily the people I have to overcome. It's me and the feeling about the situation that needs overcoming. This is my recovery and it's hard. I am giving you my personal phone number and my email address. I always have time for a recovering alcoholic (Unless it's time for work!) I work odd hours. 10 pm to 6 am at a casino. I'm usual up and home by 7 am and up by 4pm. Feel free to call me. I may be a little groggy, but if I get to the coffee pot, it's alright. I would welcome the opportunity to be you're friend. We're about the same age too. I'm 50. I'm sure we would have a lot to chat about.
Home ph.# (520) 344-8377 also my personal email. jdjohnson2007@gmail.com

And yes, sobriety is a bitch sometime, I'm just hanging around for the rewards. In my case, "sometimes slowly" applies.

You have a great sober day!

When we experience disturbance or pain,
we often are being shown places where we have closed ourselves off
through some form of denial or judgment.
The loving energy that is there for us as a blessing
is then closed off and restricted, so we may feel hurt or disturbance.

Wishing you Peace, Comfort,
Love, Health and tranquillity
