prayers in meetings

No IMHO it is not---most meetings I have gone to in 34 years, does not always end with Lords prayer and also I believe that secretary should say "For those that care to join us in the ending prayer"---many are agnostic andor atheists and can leave room and others of a denomination do not seem to have a problem with the lords prayer

I remember several years when I first showed up at FIR I was complaining about the depression I suffer from. You took the time to explain in several emails that just because we get sober, we still have to face life on life's own terms. You described your own bouts with depression and basically encouraged me not to give up fifteen minutes before the miracle happened. I'm sure I tried to explain how unique I was, but you never faultered or got cross with me in any way. I'm bull headed and it took a long time for what you were telling me to sink in. But today when your name pops up on my screen, the first thing I think of was your kindness and helpful attitude to this whiney new comer. Hope you have a grand day and many more to follow!
