I go to the "problem" meeting a couple of times a week. People still pet Donovan as I say, "No, no, no." Then they stop and say, "Sorry." I explain to them as best I can.
We go to an early morning women's meeting where he is the darling, like he used to be at the "problem" meeting. I keep him mostly by me after he says hello to a couple of women.
I still haven't taken the hour bus ride to the other meeting that I can get to. In another couple of days it won't matter…

Donovan and I are allowed in the meetings as long as he doesn't attack anybody. They are saying that he attacked a child. It is very upsetting and makes me not want to go there. My friends are coaxing me to go and I hate to disappoint them, but it is really stressful to even contemplate going. I need a lot of feedback as to whether or not I should chance going to the meetings at this particular alano club.

Tonight I talked with a friend of mine from the alano club that banned Donovan.
He called a member of the board that oversees the alano club to find out what the official stance was.
The member of the board said that Donovan was not banned, and that as long as he stayed right beside me he could attend the meetings with me.
I am going to the meeting on Wednesday with Donovan. I will see how we are received. I will make an announcement at the end of the meeting…

Not only have "they" outlawed my service dog from the alano club, "they" are saying that he attacked a child! I am really upset over this and will go to the ADA hotline to get legal help. I am going to sue the pants off "them." My service dog can't speak for himself, so I am his voice. I get really angry when he is maligned and the above is the worst he has had said about him.
