- I'm just a semi crusty ol' curmudgeon who has lived alone with his Boxer dog for far too long. Though I don't socialize a lot, through working The Steps, I have learned to love people and at least like myself. Recovery has given me a life I didn't even know existed. I now mostly enjoy simple things: planting flower gardens, woodworking, evening drives in the country, listening to records from the 20's thru the present, watching my old dog sleep peacefully, and sharing with others about the miracle of recovery.
