That is crazy I don't believe there is any action that can be taken in the area of AA. Unless I guess if you put her first , middle and last name, the state she lives in and where she works. I say she is in a lot of fear or likes drama!!

I have been threatened by a member, to have legal action taken against me for putting the birthday list on blog even if i take hers off, she says i am "outing" everyone.  Does that mean that none of us should be allowed to share our sobriety birthdays?

What is your opinion??

Having a rough time in the last 48 hours, I can't seem to keep from crying every five seconds, I'm talking to people, went a meeting, trying to stay in the moment but I'm still so scared...I have Crohn's Disease since I was 3 1/2, at age 12 I had a permant ileostomy...yesterday I realized something was really wrong with my ostomy and I panicked a little and went to the ER, today I saw the GI doc who think that it could be a Crohn's flare-up, my first serious one since I was 12...I feel so stupid for not notcing all the little signs pointing the way over the last couple of weeks...And so scared, I feel like that terrified little 6 year old getting diagonsed and in the hospital(I started getting sick at 3 1/2 but it took till 6 to get diagonsed)...with the fact that I'm already in an Endometriosis flare-up this just feels overwhelming...and I'm having a hard time explaining things to my support friends in AA cause I don't want to gross them out...just needed to spill...

Did you know that packaged white and brown sugars we use to sweeten our lattes and baked goods are simplw and refined sugars This means the sugar is depleated of it's vitamins and minerals making it a simple carbohydrate.
Excess sugar is stored in the liver. Our liver has a maximum capacity, therefore too much consumption of refined sugars causes the liver to expand. Once filled to max capacity, the excess sugar (now called glycogen) is returned to the blood and stored in the body as fat.
Along with storing fat in your trouble spots, the fatty acids also make their way to your organs: Heart, liver, kidneys. You can't see this fat when you look in the mirror. Excess fat around your organs causes them to slow down. This effects the entire body because not all components are functioning as they should. The result is high blood pressure and increased risk of kidney, liver and coranary disease.
Consuming sugar on a dailey basis creates an over-acidic condition in your red blood cells. Our bodies are designed to cure imbalances, so it uses minerals from the bones and teeth to counter the acidic overload in the blood. This can lead to tooth decay and osteoporosis.
Ingesting processed sugars causes your blood sugar to elevate. Remember, our bodies know how to cure imbalances, so when we have elevated blood sugar our pancreas releases insulin to lower and stabilize the blood sugar levels. This creates what is known as the sugar crash, or hypoglycemic state. Some people respond to the sugar crash by eating or drinking something with more sugar. The problem is that while in the midst of sugar crash our brain releases the stress hormone cortisol, which signals the release of more stored glycogen (blood sugar) from the liver. Diabetes is a result of prolonged cortisol secretion. This and the fact that someone just ate or drank something sweet causes the whole process to repeat, spiking blood sugars once more. It's like a never-ending roller coaster.
Well, that is just a little bit of something I have read. I am no doctor by any means and I don't know how to treat or cure any illnesses. It is just something I have read and thought it may be a little bit of entertaining information, maybe even usefull.
Lets take care of ourselves now. I don't know about you, but I have done enough damage through the years!
Take care everybody and hope to hear from you soon!
