Just what do we mean when we say; Life on Life's Terms?
This should raise many questions in our walk of life, and even more as Christians. As the word of God is very specific about it.

May we all be blessed with the Spirit of God guiding us each new day.

Hi Virgil,
Life on Life's terms means Life on God's terms. This is accepting that " Thy will be done" in our lives. Life will not pan out the way we want it to ( ie having life on our terms), but according to God's will and predestined plan for us- refer Jer 29:11 I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

We have to allow Him to be the potter and us the clay so that we can conform and be part of that eternal spiritual structure ( Body) spoken about in Ephesians 2:21-22. If we are stubborn, and not hearing, then God cannot use us for work set out for us in the Kingdom, and we will miss out on being built into that spiritual structure.

By dieing to self ( self will), and picking up our cross daily, we accept Life on Life's terms and are able to receive/walk into God's blessings laid out for us now and into eternity.
Hi Virgil, and Sharon, an interesting topic. Life on God's terms..... deffinately keeps Him in the drivers seat not us.we don't always or rarely know what is best for us, but He does, and thank you for reminding me of that. Underneath us are the everlasting arms ready to catch us if we fall, and redirect our paths. We really can do all things through Christ who strengthes us... God bless you all, and thanks again. Loree
Life today has managed to smile on me with a headcold.
Yet like so many ups and downs, I will get busy and do what I'm called to do.
So let our prayers ever be mindful of the needs of others.

Life on life's terms is governed by our choices.
Each time we make a choice, it is governed by our will.
As Christians, we are to be governed by God's will.
So the next question would be: Are we walking in the flesh or the spirit?

I would draw our attention to Galatians 5:1-26.
Are we walking in our sinful nature or the Spirit, which produces fruit.

Much could be said about our walk and the fruit we produce.
I would draw our attention to the differences between the two lists in verses 19-26.

May we all produce the fruit of the Spirit of God.

What about the topic of "NUDITY/NAKEDNESS"?
And I'm not talking about sexual, but life.

Gen. 3:7; 10
7"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked;
so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves."
10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

If we meditate on the fall of man, and apply absolute truth to our very lives and have done a thorough 4th; we should be able to be completly naked before our creator and fellow man.

May we all have a blessed Christmas and New Year.

Life of Life's terms is a very hard concept for me to grasp. I know in my heart and my head that God should be in the driver's seat of my life. Most of the time He is, but in those moments of "free will", I seem to take over the driving. It is in those moments that I begin to forget about my recovery. I start missing meetings, and I notice old behaviors reappearing. It doesn't matter how many years of sobriety one has, if He is not in control of all, we will slip.
