Hi Y'all!!! I am very happy to have found this site. Although new here, I have been affiliated with many online groups in the past. I was permanently disabled at Ground Zero, NYC on 9-11-01, so it's easier for me many times just to log on and enter a virtual room, than go in person. I also rather spend my time and energy on the streets of Manhattan working with the still suffering homeless alcoholics and addicts, who otherwise are forgotten or worse. In my 32 years of being clean and sober I have seen many changes to my beloved programs. This, fortunately, is one for the better.

You are a miracle, thank god for people like you. I hope to have as many years as you have one day. I'm just going on 11 months on 8/20. I'm really kinda excited and kinda proud of myself. This is my first time in recovery and I thank God and my sister for helping me. The more faith I have the greater it gets.
Congratulations. That is quite an achievement and you should be very proud of yourself.
Thanks coming from someone with so many years. I live at a sober home and we just had two new girls arrive, it made me feel good to take care of them yesterday and their getting some rest. If you ever in Chicago, you should come by to see our house and tell your story.

Mozel Tov on the sober house. As you know, community is so vital for us in the Program. Actually, I am working with my agent in Sweden and we are hoping to co-host a huge event at Wrigley's Field in May, 2012 to benefit the orphans of Kenya and Hurricane Katrina. It's all in the beginning stages, but once the ball gets rolling, she and I will be flying to Chicago a great deal to promote the project. Thank you for the invitation and I most surely will drop by to meet you and your housemates and share my ESH. Take care and please stay in touch. Cherie
