I am new to this site.  Just coming back.  Last drink was 3 days ago.  Going to my first meeting this evening and cannot wait to get back to the fellowship and support.  By the grace of my Higher Power I have found the will to try again.

Welcome back.  I think you might agree with me (and I speak from experience too) that it's easier to STAY sober than GET sober.  Glad you made it....stick around!  :)
Hi Bert - welcome back! Like you I was blessed to come back 68 days ago. I'm at the point of "Don't drink, don't think and go to meetings" - The progression of this disease absolutely scared me witless. Coming back was so physically difficult I had to put myself in the hospital twice. Actually I believe it was only through the Grace of God I am alive. I have stopped asking "why?" and am just going with it....got a sponsor, a home group and a strong network of people who are serious about recovery. I have been given the Gift of Desperation - something I never had before. Hang in there, my friend...Mary Jean
Thank you for your welcomes!  I am glad to be here.
