My name is Tim and I am an Alcoholoic...from Memphis, TN...

Thanks for allowing me me to be a prt of this program today. I am new to the online AA meeting scene but form what I have seen so far I like alot. I was able to put together 3 years sober and went back out for a few days in April of this year.......I don't beleive that relapse has to be a part of the AA program but for me it is what I needed, I had become complacent and alot of those old character defects began to rear their ugly heads. It is only through God's grace, great sponsorship, and a terrific home group that I was able to make it back. They never judged and welcomed me HOME with open arms.....I just wanted to let everyone her know that I am happy to be a member of Alcoholics Anonymous today!

It is soooo good to have you here and back in the program!
It sure is a "cunning, baffling" disease hey? a dear friend of mine recently relapsed after 13 years and it happened before she even thought about it so it can happen to anyone.
and i believe no one should be judged just welcomed back into the aa family again - keep coming back

Some sAAy - "you can do it now - or you can do it later" . . . .

The problem is, that many never make it back!

GlAAd you mAAde it!!
Tim, good to have you back man! I appreciate your 'road-testing' for me and letting me know that drinking doesn't do the job anymore. Just remember, drinking is the natural state of an alcoholic and unless we apply the 'one day at a time' drill we will go back to it. I ask God to be my companion each day in the morning and I thank Him at night when I am ready to hit the hay. Welcome back!!! ps. Its never a bad idea to do 90 in 90 either!
My name is Jakki and I am an addict/alcoholic. As Huck stated "thanx for the road test" for I too had become complacent and stopped going to meetings fortunately for me I was somehow able to stay clean with few meetings in nearly 8yrs. now that ive been back in meetings since last sept, ive become active and gotten a sponsor again...i feel like a newcomer and i too am happy to be back. life is so much simpler when you have aa in your life.
hi my name is scott im an addict i got two years clean in naracotics annoumous and i know that with help from my higer power and my sponsor and the support group that i got it would not be possible and that i would not be clean so remember that when you dont need a meeting sponsor or anything it might hurt you more then help you. keep your head up not down and love all of you

Welcome back. Its nice to know AA is a safe heaven for the floundering vessel that this disease has left us. I went out after 8 1/2 months and it opened my eyes to the fact that I truley have no control over this; that today is a daily repreve and that monster is in the closet trying to get out!
KEEP COMING BACK
Hi Tim! Glad you are here! I'm pretty new to the online thing, but am so happy to have the extra support!! Welcome!
